The seller usually said that cellphone should charged 8 hours when first bought. Is that true? There is something that make me doubt about this.

Battery life is different today, does not need dicas up to 8 hours (Unless it is in the manual). Cellphone got auto switch-off for the charge. Nowaday do not need a battery charge up to 8 hours, and even allowed to charge up to 24 hours is not a problem.
